With the Pomona RV Show 2014 coming up, we thought it might be a good idea to help you get the most out of the show by listing 10 things that you can expect from it! If this is your first RVIA show, this list will give you an idea of what you’ll see and experience there. If you’re a veteran of the show, then it will serve as an excellent reminder! Without further ado:
1. New models of RV’s, trailers, fifth-wheels, toy haulers and campers
Kind of a no-brainer but a good reminder nonetheless. This RV show is known for its huge inventory size. With both manufacturers and dealerships in attendance, you are sure to find what you’re looking for when it comes to an RV, trailer, or motorhome.
This is also a great time for you get an in-depth look at the newer models of RVs coming out. Who knows, you may fall in love with a new feature or design that you have never seen before. Be sure to bring a camera and something to jot notes on because you’re going to want to remember the details!
2. Special announcements from manufacturers and dealers
As with every year, 2014 will bring tons of new services, deals, and inventory along with it. The RVIA show in Pomona is a great place to hear these things first hand from the manufacturers themselves.
Staff from brands such as Thor, Monaco, Forest River, Winnebago, Holiday Rambler, Eclipse and so much more are all out walking the show! They usually have scheduled announcements somewhere on the premises, so make sure you pick up a show schedule the second you step into the show.
3. The competitive atmosphere will give you the perfect storm of a deal
This Pomona RV Show 2014 is the place to buy your dream RV. If you’ve been holding out, now is the time to act. With so many dealers in one location, they are practically willing to give away their merchandise just so they can out-perform their competition. You won’t see a competitive atmosphere like this again (at least, not until the next year)!
This is compounded when you add in the fact that the dealerships want to get rid of their 2014 models to make room for the 2015 ones. Like we said before, if you’ve been holding off to purchase your RV, trailer or motorhome, wait no longer. This is where you want to be.
4. Family fun
One thing that the RVIA does a great job of is including fun for the whole family. Last year, in 2013, there was a shark exhibit, face painting, clowns, and fun games with prizes and interactive displays.
Kids also enjoy running around and getting to experience the new RVs just as much as the adults! You can bet that this 2014 RV show will have just as many goodies… if not more!
5. Cash only vendors
Be sure to bring cash! If you’re looking to buy food, souvenirs, or make other show purchases, cash is king. You might be able to find a vendor or two that accept credit/debit card but the overall moral of the story is to have cash handy.
6. Sunny, warm days
The show takes place just after summer… in Southern California. Chances are it’s going to be a warm day. Make sure you prepare by bringing some sunblock, a good hat, and water. The mornings are generally cooler but that midday heat will surprise you! A lot of the dealerships have giant tents and areas set up for you to escape the sun rays for a while.
7. Free stuff
You’ll be getting coupons, shirts, hats, water bottles, and other swag (stuff we all get) at this RV show. Usually, someone is in front of the show handing out free bags for you to carry all your items in. On top of the fun stuff, you’ll also be getting a ton of informational packets which include info on the makes and models of RVs at the show.
When you get home after the show, it’s a good idea to go through all of that stuff and hang on to the service coupons or discount promotions. You never know when you’ll need it!
8. Inside information
Now is your chance to ask all of those questions you’ve been hanging on to. The dealers and manufacturers are at your disposal and are more than happy to answer all of your questions!
9. Consignment information
Looking to sell your RV? The dealerships will have a great deal of information for you on how to sell it. There are consignment options available for you and it’s something you may want to check into.
10. Not just RVs!
Last but not least, the Pomona RV Show 2014 is not just about RVs! True, that’s what it’s focused on, but there is so much more going on at the show! In 2013 we saw dune buggies, dragsters, RVs from Bret Michaels reality TV show “Rock My RV”, sports cars and more. When you arrive at the show, prepare yourself for an amazing time with great people.
We can’t wait to see you there!
